I gained a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status from Reading University in 2020. For the past four years I have been teaching English in a secondary school in Slough, to mixed ability classes from Years 7 to 12. Students in my classes range from LA (low ability) learners, to a wide range of SEN learners, to HA (high ability) learners. In professional appraisals, I have been deemed an excellent teacher, with excellent subject knowledge. All my students, both private and at school, passed their GCSE English Language and English Literature in 2023.

I have a BA (hons) in Humanities, and an MSc in Integrated Healthcare. I am qualified by Star Child Yoga to teach yoga to 4-24 year olds. I gained a PTLLS qualification to teach adults. I have a professional qualification in a complementary therapy.

I worked as a complementary therapist for 20 years, working with private clients, I specialised in addiction therapy, where I worked in mainstream services and also with private clients. This has given me vast experience of working with all sorts of people, many of whom are hard-to-reach. My first job, leaving university, was in trade journalism.

When self-confidence, trauma, SEN, health and other issues cloud a child's ability to attend school, or engage in school if they do attend, my unique skill set will get them back on track. Motivation, happiness and fun are foremost in my teaching.  On the other hand, if your child is bored at school because the teacher cannot stretch them, I can - I am highly articulate and analytical, and with my excellent subject knowledge I can bring on high achievers in leaps and bounds.
